Gain and maintain your PfMP®

  • First phase of PfMP® evaluation is panel review
  • The certification exam has 170 multiple-choice questions, and you have four hours to complete.
  • To maintain your PfMP®, you must earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) every three years.

PfMP® certification eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the PfMP® certification, you must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements.

Before you apply, make sure you meet one of the following sets of PfMP® Certification requirements:

  • Four-year degree
  • 48 months of portfolio management experience
  • 96 months of professional business experience within the last 15 years

      or

  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree
  • 84 months of portfolio management experience
  • 96 months of professional business experience within the last 15 years
